This is a 8 page workbook that introduces the topic of the Johari Window. This is a widely used model for understanding and training in a variety of self-awareness dependent activities such as: personal development, communications, interpersonal relationships, group dynamics, team development and inter-group relationships.
I use this as a team building exercise, particularly when teams need to build trust so that they can move to a high performing phase. It is also beneficial to find out more about yourself and how others see you generally.
A worksheet is included for participants to gain insights into the different quadrants and where they fit within these.

How the game works:
The PowerPoint computer based game can be played in teams or as a group / class activity.
The objective is to reveal what is behind the numbers on the presentation, one square at a time.
Each team picks a number and answers a question. (Questions and answers are provided in the worksheet).
If they answer the question correctly, then they can click on a number on the PowerPoint presentation to display a portion (square) of the picture in the background. The background picture is slowly revealed.
The first team to identify the background picture wins.

This crossword puzzle with answers covers the key vocabulary that learners need to be exposed to when learning Microsoft Powerpoint.
I use this with my adult learning classes and they really enjoy completing this. It can be done in pairs or groups or individually. It generates useful discussion and is a lot of fun. This is a print and go activity.
This resource contains a 25 slide PowerPoint presentation with teachers notes attached in a word document that can be used as a general lesson plan. It has been created specifically for students and will be most useful at the beginning of a school year. My resources are provided in pdf format and a format this is fully editable.
Also included is a worksheet that has an example of how to set out SMART goals and room to create their own. The subject of Vision Boards is also touched upon and there are some example pictures of how this can be achieved.

This resource covers tips for giving effective instructions in the workplace. It contains a 3 page worksheet that provides an example using sequencing words and activities for learners to carry out including a roleplay.
It also has a warm up activity that asks learners to follow instructions to complete a test. It is a fun activity that always trips up learners. They inevitably do not read the first instruction carefully enough and end up doing extra work.

This resource is for those that are new to Microsoft Excel and want to quickly learn and practice using calculations in Excel. The spreadsheet has a number of different sheets within it that have clear instructions and practice exercises to use for yourself or your learners to quickly master basic concepts.
I have used this to teach students and workplace learners with much success.
Covers addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on sheet 1. Sheet 2 has Autosum and subsequent sheets practice using these with common spreadsheets such as invoices and profit and loss scenarios. Simply give learners a copy of this spreadsheet and work through together or let them try by themselves.

This resource introduces learners to the EEC (Example, Effect, Change) model of providing feedback. It gives them the words and confidence to tackle what can sometimes be difficult conversations in an effective manner. It also covers the PAC (Patience, Ask, Confirm) model for receiving feedback.
It contains four examples of how to give constructive feedback both positive and negative. There are also tables created for learners to write their own scenarios and then roleplay the interactions.

I use this activity in my workplace training sessions to set the scene to talk more about effective communication in particular Active Listening Skills. It is well received and all have a good laugh at the end when all is revealed!
